De-matting Policy
We groom humanely at Four Paws Grooming Salon. We will attempt to de-matt a coat by combing out, and only if we feel that the animal will not suffer stress, we will clip off a matted coat to prevent unnecessary stress to your pet providing we have your consent. Four Paws will be more than happy to show you how to look after your dog’s coat and give you advice. Our normal grooming charge does not include de-matting, any de-matting will be charged as an extra rate.

Aggressive or Nervous Dog Policy
Dogs that require extra staff to help manage them will be charged an inflated grooming rate. This is because dogs showing aggression or acute nervousness, take much longer than normal to groom. We reserve the right to refuse a dog that represents a risk of injury to itself or any member of staff, or send home a dog even if the dog is partially completed. Dogs that show aggression will be muzzled for their safety and ours.

Elderly or ill dogs
Four Paws reserve the right to refuse elderly and poorly dogs should we feel that the dog will become stressed unnecessarily. We like dogs to come into the grooming salon feeling safe and comfortable.

Toileting
Please ensure that your dog has emptied its bowel before bringing him/her in to be groomed. Should your dog foul outside Four Paws, please ask a member of staff for a poop bag.
Four Paws have an outside run so your dog can relieve itself during its visit.

Collection Times

When a client is early or late, this puts our schedule off and mostly causes your dog to have to sit around and wait. We do our best to give you a 15-20 minute notice prior to your pet's appointment being completed so you can arrive as we are done with the groom. We understand that there may be slight delays in picking up your dog, but it is quite stressful for most animals to have to wait unnecessarily after a grooming session is finished.

Appointments

In the event of cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to your appointment or "no shows", we reserve the right to add a £10 service fee to your next appointment.
