My name is Emma Gooding and my partners name is Chris Rowell. I first started out dog grooming at a veterinary surgery in Colchester back in 1999 when I first left secondary school and stayed there for one and a half years as a trainee. A few years later I then completed a course in dog grooming by gaining my diploma. Since then I have worked in grooming salons with a very high reputation gaining 4 years experience.
My partner Chris Rowell assists me, bathing and drying your dog within the salon, along with keeping dogs calm and relaxed if required.

At Four Paws we pride ourselves  in ensuring that we groom your dog to your specification. When you arrive at Four Paws we will talk through exactly how you would like your dog groomed and discuss any concerns or queries you may have. At Four Paws we use quality products designed for your dog’s coat and skin type. Your dog will be bathed and dried before cutting along with nails being clipped and a spray of our doggy perfume.

We also welcome puppies into our grooming salon. Myself and Chris like to encourage puppies to learn to trust us and enjoy being pampered. This can be done by slowly introducing your puppy to new noises and smells. We will bath your puppy and use a gentle low noise dryer if necessary to prevent any extra stress,
Then brush with a final spritz of  finishing spray.

It is advised that you do not bath your puppy any more than once every 4-6 weeks as doing this will remove essential oils in the coat and can lead to skin problems.
Older dogs can be bathed as often as you like however it is recommended its only done every 4-6 weeks.

Any dog that comes to Four Paws is treated with kindness and extra care is given to elderly or frail dogs.

Four Paws likes to have a relaxed and stress free environment for all our dogs and only one dog is booked for each appointment slot. We do take multiple bookings for those of us who have more than one dog. That way, we can ensure your dog / dogs are not kept in the grooming salon for any longer than necessary and are given our undivided attention.

We also have an outside dog run that is secured, this way your dog can relieve itself and stretch its legs

RIP What an awful tragedy.
